J.D'S Membership Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

J.D'S Uniform student membership is delivered through the Megdesk platform at megdesk.org. Megdesk acts as the technology and payment processing partner. J.D'S Uniform is the merchant offering membership benefits in store.

2. Data we collect

• Parent/guardian name, email, and mobile number
• Student name, school, class, division, city, and PIN code
• Payment confirmation (order ID, amount, timestamp — not full card/UPI details)
• Membership coupon code, login credentials, and session logs

3. Why we use your data

• Verify identity via email OTP and prevent duplicate or fraudulent signups
• Activate membership and issue your permanent coupon code
• Send receipts, welcome emails, and account access details
• Allow store verification of active membership
• Operate the partner portal for authorised J.D'S staff
• Comply with tax, payment, and legal obligations

4. Legal basis

Processing is based on your consent at signup, performance of the membership contract, and legitimate interests in fraud prevention and service operation.

5. Sharing

We share data only with:

• Razorpay — payment processing
• Email (SMTP) provider — transactional emails
• Authorised J.D'S Uniform staff — membership verification via partner portal
• Hosting/database providers — secure storage

We do not sell student or parent data to third parties for marketing.

6. Retention

Membership records are retained for the active membership period and for a reasonable period thereafter for accounting, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. You may request deletion subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Security

Passwords are stored hashed. Payment data is handled by Razorpay under PCI-DSS standards. Access to partner data is restricted to authenticated J.D'S staff accounts.

8. Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting us through megdesk.org. Parental consent is required for student data of minors.
